Your New Job

The Position:

The IT Infrastructure and Operations team is looking for an Intern to join our amazing team. This Jr Help Desk Engineer role will be responsible for maintaining a high caliber of customer service in regard to troubleshooting, maintenance, and training customers on tools/hardware.

Job Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):

· Respond to all user requests via emails, phone calls and walk-ins

  • Create, manage and work on all ticket requests in the IT ticket management system
  • Resolve all level one and some low level two IT related issues
  • Escalate unresolved issues to senior IT support
  • Coordinate and follow-up on all tickets for all levels of support
  • Provide detailed information regarding the solution of all tickets
  • Add resolutions of recurring issues to the IT knowledge base
  • Install, maintain and troubleshoot all software and application related issues
  • Microsoft Windows 10
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • Adobe (Reader, Acrobat)
  • Web browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari)
  • All other applicable applications deemed necessary
  • Install, repair and replace all desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, VOIP phones, scanners and copiers
  • Provide basic networking (Connection Issues) and authentication support (Domain Login or Application Login)
  • Coordinate the creation of all new user accounts
  • Assist users with managing all user accounts
  • Assist with special projects as deemed necessary
  • Assist cybersecurity team with mitigation and remediation efforts as requested

Required Skills & Qualifications:

General

  • High school degree or equivalent;
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program
  • Or a very recent graduate with a bachelor or grad degree
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Punctual; on time for work, and on time delivery of commitments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work without supervision
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • A positive can-do attitude and openness to trying things new ways

Technical

  • Working knowledge of hardware (desktops, laptops, mobile phones, printers, copiers and VOIP phones)
  • General networking (TCP/IP, DNS, and WINS)
  • Windows 10
  • MS Office, Adobe Products, and WEB applications
  • Experience performing virus removal in applications such as malware
  • ITIL training preferred
  • MacOS working knowledge of setup, install of apps and troubleshooting connectivity preferred
