Inventory Planner

What You’ll Do
- Plan and manage inventory to support production schedules and customer demand
- Execute purchasing activities and place purchase orders to ensure on‑time material delivery
- Own planning and inventory management for approximately 300 active part numbers
- Monitor demand, lead times, and inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock
- Partner closely with Operations and leadership to align supply with production needs
- Maintain accurate data and transactions in NetSuite and Oracle
- Track open orders and proactively follow up with suppliers
- Use Excel and Microsoft tools to support planning, reporting, and analysis
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across planning and purchasing
- Manage shifting priorities in a fast‑paced, small‑company environment
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in Inventory Planning and Production Planning
- (Role is approximately 80% planning/inventory and 20% purchasing)
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain, inventory planning, or procurement
- Hands‑on experience with NetSuite and/or Oracle
- Solid understanding of material planning, production schedules, and inventory control
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
- Comfortable working autonomously and wearing multiple hats in a growing organization
Nice to Have
- Experience in Electronics Manufacturing
- Bilingual in Spanish (a strong plus due to collaboration with the production team)
Work Environment & Culture
- Onsite role in Carlsbad
- Early schedule: 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM (great for work‑life balance)
- Family‑owned company with 25 employees and a collaborative, close‑knit culture
- Bilingual English/Spanish production environment
- Manufacturing and assembly area located on the second floor (stairs required)
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
