You’ll add to your technical credentials and certifications while enjoying a generous, flexible vacation policy and educational assistance. We also have comprehensive leadership and technical development academies to help build your skills and capabilities.

Summary

As an Experienced Rebate Application Architect at Gainwell, you can contribute your skills as we harness the power of technology to help our clients improve the health and well-being of the members they serve — a community’s most vulnerable. Connect your passion with purpose, teaming with people who thrive on finding innovative solutions to some of healthcare’s biggest challenges. Here are the details on this position.

At Gainwell, it’s easy to see the positive impact of what we do. The passion you bring to your career ultimately benefits the lives improved by services we provide to our clients. We encourage you to challenge yourself, learn and grow in a company that thrives on innovation. We go beyond entering new arenas to shaping markets with transformational experiences that redefine our business. The difference is clear.

Your role in our mission

When joining Gainwell, you will:

  • Serve as a key member of a leveraged team supporting configuration, development, testing, and implementation of drug rebate solutions for state clients
  • Provide ongoing maintenance and operational support to ensure system performance, reliability, and compliance with program requirements
  • Act as a subject matter expert for drug rebate solutions, collaborating with pharmacy, finance, IT, and cross-functional teams across the enterprise
  • Translate business and rebate program requirements into application designs, functional specifications, and scalable technical solutions
  • Lead and contribute to testing, integration, deployment, and documentation efforts to ensure successful solution delivery
  • Facilitate alignment through stakeholder engagement, including project meetings, JAD sessions, and collaboration with development teams

What we're looking for

  • 8+ years of experience working with healthcare applications and data; Medicaid drug rebate experience preferred
  • 8+ years of experience with relational databases such as SQL Server and Oracle
  • Experience with software development tools (e.g., Azure DevOps) and modern development methodologies and release management
  • Experience with ETL processes and data integration; SSIS experience preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder collaboration skills
  • Experience with implementing and supporting applications built on low code platforms, USoft preferred

What you should expect in this role

  • Fully Remote Opportunity – Work from anywhere in the U.S.
  • Minimal Travel Required – Occasional travel opportunities (0-10%).
  • Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation
  • The deadline to submit applications for this posting is July 25, 2026.

The pay range for this position is $95,100.00 - $135,800.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. Put your passion to work at Gainwell. You’ll have the opportunity to grow your career in a company that values work flexibility, learning, and career development. All salaried, full-time candidates are eligible for our generous, flexible vacation policy, a 401(k) employer match, comprehensive health benefits, and educational assistance. We also have a variety of leadership and technical development academies to help build your skills and capabilities.

We believe nothing is impossible when you bring together people who care deeply about making healthcare work better for everyone. Build your career with Gainwell, an industry leader. You’ll be joining a company where collaboration, innovation, and inclusion fuel our growth.
