IBM ODM Developer

About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced
IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM) Developer to support Smart Workflow initiatives by designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise business rule solutions. This role will focus on translating complex business policies into automated decision services using IBM ODM while integrating rules with Java-based enterprise applications running in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain IBM ODM rule projects, decision tables, decision trees, and business rule flows.
- Translate business requirements into automated decision services using IBM Decision Center and Rule Designer.
- Integrate ODM decision services with Java/J2EE enterprise applications using REST and SOAP APIs.
- Develop and deploy business rules within Decision Center and Rule Execution Server (RES).
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to define, validate, and implement business rules.
- Test, troubleshoot, and optimize decision services for performance and scalability.
- Participate in CI/CD pipelines, source control, and Agile development practices.
Required Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of hands-on IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM) experience.
- Strong Java/J2EE development experience.
- Experience with IBM Decision Center, Rule Designer, and Rule Execution Server (RES).
- Experience developing REST and SOAP web services.
- Experience with relational databases including Oracle, SQL Server, or Google Cloud Spanner.
- Experience working within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
