If you're ready to be part of a company that's not just adapting to change, but driving it, AES is the place for you. We're not just building a more sustainable future, we're powering it. Apply now and energize your career with a true leader in global energy.

AES Clean Energy is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join the Civil Engineering team in supporting Strategic Development (Strat Dev), Real Estate (RE), Development (Dev), Development Engineering (Dev Eng), Execution Engineering (Exec Eng), Construction and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) for design development, permitting, construction and O&M support of wind, photovoltaic (PV) and grid-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) in coordination with the AES Clean Energy teams.

The Civil Engineer will be responsible for providing support to the Civil Engineering team and guidance to Strat Dev, RE and Dev while assisting the Dev Eng and Exec Eng group with early-through late-stage civil design plans. This role will include collaboration with Permitting, Geotech and Civil subject matter experts (SME), review of Hydrology Studies, stormwater design development, supporting entitlement acquisition, and providing Pre-construction support. As projects move from Dev Eng into Exec Eng, the Civil Engineer will support Pre-Construction, Exec Eng, Engineering Construction, Owners Eng and Procurement (EPC) detailed civil design reviews and provide Civil Engineering recommendations. Periodic support during the construction phase, collaboration with Compliance on stormwater management, support of requests for information and project close out support for wind, solar PV and BESS projects will be expected.

This candidate will work closely with other Civil Engineering Team members and assist both Dev Eng and Exec Eng in providing oversight on conceptual through IFC designs by others. Design plan reviews may be performed, optimized, and reviewed utilizing AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Revu Bluebeam. The successful applicant, while not an expert, will be comfortable with high-level review of all elements of practical wind, BESS, and PV system design.
