Onsite in Burbank, CA

Our client seeks a Technical Lead to drive innovation across cinematic pipelines and theatrical experiences within a studio lab environment. The role requires strong AI expertise, hands-on prototyping, and the ability to communicate complex solutions to senior stakeholders. The ideal candidate will architect solutions, guide implementation across proof-of-concept through pilot, and align with internal standards while influencing cross-functional teams. The position emphasizes rapid learning, clear documentation, and effective stakeholder engagement.

Rate: $86.75 to $96.75/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and select technologies to support defined use cases and user groups.

• Architect and document technical solutions including system diagrams, integration points, licensing requirements, and risk mitigation.

• Partner with technology teams to align solutions with internal systems and content protection standards.

• Maintain and evolve a technical roadmap through proof-of-concept, prototype, and pilot phases.

• Conduct code reviews, propose alternative implementations, and troubleshoot issues.

• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.

• Stay current on emerging technologies and propose opportunities for adoption.

• Support automated build, test, deployment, and continuous integration workflows.

• Provide guidance and technical oversight to team members and contribute hands-on as needed.

• Present and sell proofs-of-concept to internal stakeholders with clear value articulation.

Experience Requirements:

• Strong AI experience with modern AI coding and prototyping tools.

• Expertise in at least one backend language such as Java, Python, C++, or Go and ability to work across others.

• Proficiency with at least one frontend framework such as React or Streamlit.

• Experience with database technologies and query languages including SQL.

• Knowledge of cloud-based application architecture.

• Experience with AI/ML tooling and infrastructure including MLOps.

• Proven deployment and productization experience.

• Ability to perform in fast-paced, time-constrained environments with strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies.

• Minimum 5+ years of product innovation experience.

• Ability to influence across teams without direct authority with strong communication skills.

• Background in media technology or digital cinema (preferred).

• Experience with cloud platforms, Unity and/or Unreal, React, AR/VR technologies, database management, and AI/ML model development and deployment (preferred).

• Contributions to industry or academic publications or conferences (preferred).

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

• Master's degree in Computer Science (preferred).
