Senior DeltaV Controls Engineer (Life Sciences)

Location: Athens, GA Type: Full-Time | Professional Services / Manufacturing

Why Join Us?

We aren't just looking for a programmer; we’re looking for a lead architect to join one of the fastest-growing automation teams in the Southeast. While we work on high-impact Life Science projects that save lives, we prioritize a culture that values engineering autonomy and technical mastery.

· Top-Tier Compensation: We offer a highly competitive base salary, performance bonuses, and a premium benefits package that leads the industry.

· The Athens Advantage: Enjoy a high quality of life with a low cost of living. From the legendary music scene and University of Georgia culture to top-rated dining and outdoor trails, Athens offers a vibrant alternative to the Atlanta commute.

· Career Trajectory: As our team expands, you will have the opportunity to lead major capital projects and mentor the next generation of S88 experts.

Requirements

The Mission

As our DeltaV Batch Specialist, you will own the software lifecycle for critical biotech manufacturing systems. You will bridge the gap between process engineering and automation, ensuring our clients' life-saving therapies are produced with surgical precision and full regulatory compliance.

What You’ll Do

· Master the Batch: Architect and deploy sophisticated DeltaV Batch solutions, focusing on complex recipe structures and phase logic.

· Drive S88 Excellence: Implement modular, class-based code that sets the standard for ISA-88 hierarchy and equipment reusability.

· Lead the SDLC: Drive the full software lifecycle—from drafting Functional Design Specs (FDS) to executing complex GAMP5 validation protocols.

· Innovate: Utilize DeltaV Live to create intuitive, high-performance HMI environments that empower operators.

· Collaborate: Work alongside a high-energy team of engineers to solve "impossible" automation bottlenecks in real-time.

What You Bring

· The Experience: 5+ years of dedicated Emerson DeltaV experience, specifically within a Life Sciences (GxP) environment.

· The Technical Edge: Mastery of DeltaV Batch, S88 standards, and the ability to troubleshoot complex control loops and Foundation Fieldbus/HART instrumentation.

· The Mindset: A "quality-first" approach to coding. You understand that in Life Sciences, the documentation is as important as the logic.

· Education: B.S. in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, or Controls preferred).
