About the Opportunity : A CNC Programmer translates blueprints into machine code to create finished products, which involves programming various CNC machines and fine-tuning their parameters to ensure parts meet exact specifications. Key responsibilities include analyzing technical drawings, developing and testing programs, and making necessary adjustments to machine settings for optimal accuracy.

Location : Stuart, Florida on-site role.

Responsibilities :

Under limited supervision :

• Reviews current fixturing and provides support for new fixture design / revisions as required
• Recommends new cutting tools to improve existing programs and develop new
• Analyzes drawings, sketches, design data and specifications pertaining to parts to determine program paths / techniques
• Selects the appropriate tools and machine speed / feed rates according to the machine shop processes, part specifications and machine capabilities
• Provides information for instruction sheets and cutter lists to guide set-up and operation of the machine
• Optimizes existing programs
• Ensures quality control standards are maintained
• Maintains production schedules from the prototype run to production
• Provides shop floor support for the life of the program
• Documents set-up information and programming writing / support for various CNC 3, 4 and 5 axis milling operations
• Participates in process development, including creation of detailed router instructions, operation sheets, tool selection and fixture / tooling design
• Interfaces daily with manufacturing, engineering and quality functions
• Works with customers and suppliers to resolve process and design issues
• Incorporates lean manufacturing in cell environment and quick-change set-up, etc.
• Performs other related duties as assigned
