As our Activities Associate, you will assist in the planning, organization, and directing of activity programs for the facility population. You will prepare reports on the assigned population's progress as may be required.
Every day, activities may include sports, dramatics, nature study, social activities, games, and arts and crafts in accordance with patient/resident needs. You will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents and patients by fostering engagement, promoting well-being, and creating a stimulating and supportive environment through diverse programming.
To be successful in your role, you will creatively assist in the planning, organization, and direction of diverse activity programs tailored to the needs of our facility population. You will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, a compassionate approach, and the ability to effectively engage participants in a variety of activities, while meticulously reporting on their progress to enhance overall well-being and contribute to their comprehensive care.
Required:
- High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- Valid Driver License
- Basic Life Support certification
Physical Requirements Sedentary work - prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10 lbs. force occasionally
Preferred:
- Colorado Activity Professional Certificate
- Certified Nurse Aide (C.N.A.) experience
- One (1) year experience in a patient, recreational or activities program
The hours for this position are 11:00 am to 7:30 pm, including every other weekend and some holidays. Experience with recreational programming is preferred.
