Job Description Summary
The Information Technology Education (ITE) prepares students for careers within computer programming, network administration, computer support and other technical occupations in the information technology field. The Information Technology Education Program at Santa Fe College currently offers eight certificate programs, four Associate of Science degrees and one Bachelor of Applied Science degree.
Under general supervision, the Adjunct Assistant Professor will develop, prepare, and teach a variety of coursework in A.S. and / or B.S. courses within the ITE program. The Adjunct Assistant Professor must have the flexibility to teach courses during the day, evening, or online, as well as taught using other distance learning formats. This is an in-person, onsite position.

The part-time instructional service rate for Information Technology Education Biotechnology, Central Sterile Processing Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Dental, Medical Imaging, Nursing, Physical Therapist Assistant, Respiratory Care, Surgical Technology, Graphic Design and Digital Media programs is $986 per semester credit hour.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required : A master's degree or a master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in any academic major in Computer Science or Information Technology such as Computer Education, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Science & Technology, Curriculum & Instruction, Decision & Information Technology, Educational Technology, Information Security, Information Security Management, Information Systems, Information Technology, Programming and Analysis, Security Management, Technology Management, Education in Learning, Information Assurance, or Information Management. Three (3) to five (5) years of work-related experience in the field with demonstrated evidence of proficiency is also required.
Additional Requirements : A criminal background check will be conducted.
Preferred : Progressive work experience in field. Relevant teaching experience within a community college setting.
