Résumé du poste:

Job Summary:

At Disney, we’re storytellers. We make the impossible, possible. The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) is a world-class entertainment and technological leader. Walt’s passion was to continuously envision new ways to move audiences around the world—a passion that remains our touchstone in an enterprise that stretches from theme parks, resorts and a cruise line to sports, news, movies and a variety of other businesses. Uniting each endeavor is a commitment to creating and delivering unforgettable experiences — and we’re constantly looking for new ways to enhance these exciting experiences.

About the Role & Team:

We are a dynamic team dedicated to delivering cross-platform integrated Disney experiences and retail experiences. Our aim is to deliver the magic right to our guests' doors and into their lives, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime. As we build new web experiences, we are exploring AI-enhanced solutions that redefine personalization, optimize content recommendations, and provide intelligent decision-making tools for our retail environments. By marrying creativity with AI, we aim to deliver innovative solutions for guests worldwide.

As a core member of our DisneyStore team, you will create new experiences and update existing ones for our web properties and services used across our retail environments. You will work closely with developers, QA, product managers, and data scientists on our team, and collaborate with other teams across Disney to create web solutions that delight our guests. Our team is global, with members located across the US and around the world, bringing diverse perspectives and expertise to our work.

What you will do:

  • Write code to satisfy the user stories and meet product requirements.
  • Collaborate across teams to integrate AI/ML capabilities into retail and eCommerce platforms, such as personalized recommendations, search optimization, and predictive analysis for guest behavior.
  • Resolve defects, support testing efforts, and help debug code on a frequent basis.
  • Actively participate in Agile team ceremonies, including planning, refinement, retrospective, and daily standups.
  • Work with the team to understand requirements, design and implement solutions, and work with QA to validate those solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews to validate changes and grow your knowledge.
  • Build features or systems that utilize AI-driven insights, such as sentiment analysis, audience segmentation, or intelligent product recommendations, to improve the guest experience.
  • Document and demo your work.
  • Experiment with and adopt AI-based tools and frameworks to solve specific guest or business challenges within the retail journey.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in a software engineering role or similar.
  • 2+ years of experience across the full software development lifecycle
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with server-side JavaScript
  • Ability to deliver full stack development solutions
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Proactive self-starter with the ability to learn independently, adapt quickly, and dive deep into complex technologies and problems
  • Familiarity with AI-powered APIs and tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliance for web applications
  • Experience with eCommerce SaaS platforms such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud (preferred), Shopify, Magento or Websphere Commerce.
  • Hands-on experience in Agile development environments
  • Knowledge of recommendation systems to support personalized guest experiences.
  • Exposure to AI based development tools
  • Understanding of web performance optimizations and metrics
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and building tools such as Jenkins or Harness
  • Experience building and consuming RESTful API’s

Education:

  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience required
