Sylvatex is currently hiring for an Lab Technician.

As a technician at Sylvatex, you will support the development of new cathode processing techniques for Li-ion battery testing.  You are passionate about positively impacting the environment with innovative clean energy solutions.  You are proactive and capable of operating in a fast-paced startup environment with little supervision.  Curiosity and optimism are two of your superpowers.

This role will report to the Director of Research and Development.

The Role :

• Running and maintaining processing equipment associated with material production (e.g., kilns, mills, etc.) Create robust documentation (e.g., batch records, SOPs, reports) and preventative maintenance plans Coordinate with researchers to execute and document experimental runs  Candidate should be able to lift 20-30 pounds daily Should be familiar with basic mechanical tools (wrench, drills, etc.) Prepare electrodes for battery cell assembly and support electrochemical testing Maintain clean and well-organized lab areas that meet safety regulations Support the commission of incoming equipment and create documentation for equipment / processes with the help of engineers Qualifications : High school diploma and above R&D experience in an industry setting is a plus Ability to multitask and liaise with professionals in different fields Proficiency in MS Office or similar Ability to understand verbal and written instructions Ability to follow health and safety regulations Capabilities : Detail-oriented Self-starter and a bias for action – do things before being asked to or forced to by events.
