As a Roofing Laborer, you’ll support experienced roofers on the job site, assisting with various tasks that keep projects moving smoothly. You will play a vital part in ensuring safe, efficient work processes while gaining hands-on experience in the roofing industry.
What You’ll Do As a Roofing Laborer, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting roofers with the installation, repair, and tear-off of roofing systems.
- Loading and unloading roofing materials such as shingles, underlayment, and flashing.
- Safely carrying materials and tools up ladders and onto rooftops.
- Cleaning and preparing roof surfaces for installation or repair.
- Removing old roofing materials and disposing of debris properly.
- Supporting measuring, cutting, and staging of materials as directed by supervisors.
- Operating basic hand tools and roofing equipment under supervision.
- Maintaining a clean and organized worksite to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Following all safety guidelines and consistently using required PPE.
- Supporting team members to meet project deadlines and deliver quality work.
What You’ll Bring The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in construction or roofing is a plus but not required.
- Willingness to work at heights and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift 50–75 pounds regularly.
- Ability to safely climb ladders and work on sloped surfaces.
- Dependable and hardworking attitude with a focus on safety.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team.
- Reliable transportation to Eugene job sites.
- Punctuality and consistent attendance.
