ABOUT THIS UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY
The NOW Massage Emeryville boutique is situated at the bustling lifestyle center–Bay Street Emeryville. This is your chance to be a part of a health and wellness industry-redefining business where the city by the Bay and East Bay intersect. We know that the Massage Therapist positions are central to the success of the boutique. To that end, we have envisioned this role with an eye toward professional growth and development where one could evolve to Lead Massage Therapist for the boutique and beyond that even Regional Lead Massage Therapist as we open additional locations across the Bay Area.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Share the healing power of touch to inspire and transform through the benefits of massage therapy.
• Provide therapeutic massage through a variety of modalities (Prenatal, Sports, Stretching Techniques, etc.)
• Maintain service room to standards. All supplies are provided.
• Full and Part-Time positions available.
• Will consider qualified candidates beginning their careers in massage therapy that possess the right qualities, as well as demonstrate innate talent for, and understanding of, therapeutic massage.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Desire to be part of a team that has an infectious passion for health and wellness.
• License/certification required in California. Must present a license/certificate during the interview process and maintain it throughout employment if hired.
• Knowledge of Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage and other modalities.
• Excellent guest service skills.
• Availability during prime earning potential periods including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Availability for at least one PM and one weekend shift (Friday PM counts as a weekend shift).
• Physical demands of the job include:
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours in length. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill room resetting tasks and all massage service protocols. Requires grasping, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
