Saber Power Services seeks a professional, dedicated individual with a positive outlook for our Apprentice Lineman opening in Geismar, LA.
The Lineman Apprentice performs new construction and maintenance work on overhead and underground distribution and transmission lines under the supervision of a Journeyman Lineman.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Build and maintain distribution overhead and underground and / or transmission lines and facilities, both energized and de-energized
- Plan jobs to ensure compliance with approved safety and construction standards and procedures
- Maintain work records
- Stock line trucks and maintain tools and equipment
- Drive, maintain and operate line vehicles and properly stations them for the work to be done
- Perform less difficult and / or routine installations and repairs independently and with minimal supervision
- Troubleshoot activities, as needed
