Strategy Analyst
The Strategy Analyst supports market-level and enterprise-wide strategic initiatives by delivering market intelligence, data analysis, and insights at the direction of Market Directors of Strategy and Strategy leadership. The role synthesizes internal and external data to inform growth opportunities, strategic planning, and initiative performance, supports scenario analysis and business case development with Finance, and provides flexible analytical support across multiple strategy projects as organizational priorities evolve.
Key Responsibilities
Synthesizes and interprets internal and external datasetsincluding HMR/EMR data, patient demographics, referral patterns, payer mix, pricing, and market intelligenceto inform strategic initiatives
Provides analytical support across multiple concurrent strategy projects in partnership with Market Directors and Strategy leadership
Sources, aggregates, validates, and maintains data related to industry trends, demographics, competitor activity, and regulatory developments
Develops clear, concise reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate insights and strategic recommendations to leadership
Supports strategic planning through scenario analysis, financial modeling, and business case development in collaboration with Finance
Conducts analyses to support ROI evaluation, performance tracking, and strategic initiative effectiveness
Monitors policy and regulatory changes and assesses potential impacts on market and enterprise strategy
Performs market assessments, competitive analyses, and synergy evaluations to support partnerships, joint ventures, and M&A activities
Tracks and benchmarks competitor performance to identify trends and inform strategic positioning
Builds and maintains scalable analytical workflows and data pipelines to enhance efficiency and accessibility of insights
Continuously improves analytical methodologies, processes, and data quality
Ensures compliance with HIPAA, data-sharing agreements, and applicable regulations in collaboration with Legal
Partners with IT to evaluate and implement analytics tools that enhance capabilities and accelerate insights
Provides flexible analytical support aligned with evolving enterprise priorities
Supports Strategy leadership with ad hoc analyses, reporting, and special projects
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
Experience:
25 years of experience in strategy, management consulting, analytics, healthcare strategy, finance, or a related analytical role
Demonstrated experience analyzing complex datasets and translating findings into clear insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders
Experience supporting strategic planning, market analysis, competitive analysis, or business case development
Working knowledge of healthcare markets, provider economics, payer dynamics, or other regulated industries preferred
Experience collaborating cross-functionally (e.g., Finance, IT, Legal) to support strategy or analytics initiatives
Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI; Python or R preferred)
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities
