Job description

ABOUT BEMAS Bemas Construction is an all-purpose earthwork contractor.

We move dirt to build developments and resources that our communities need, creating suitable foundations for people to build on. Our projects include grading and stormwater control services for commercial, residential, mining, and environmental projects.

HOW YOU WILL GET TO HELP US DO THAT Operate a 631E and/or 627G scraper to grade and evenly spread earth on mass excavation jobs, including distribution centers, landfills, residential developments, mining pit reclamations, drainage ways, highways, and airport runways.

Training is provided if needed.

WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO Conduct pre-shift walkarounds to ensure the integrity of equipment Operate equipment along designated haul routes Read and interpret survey stakes to construct projects accurately Follow safety protocols Keep equipment clean and assist with repairs as needed Communicate with teams via CB radio WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU Work outside among the beautiful Denver views Be part of a team that truly cares about your success, a team that looks out for one another because it's the only way we can succeed as a whole Work at a company that helps employees thrive by looking after their health and well-being while giving them the tools they need to grow Hourly pay rate from $24 - $30 per hour A generous annual discretionary bonus, which has been provided every year since 1995 A generous benefits package that is valued at an average of an hourly rate of $8 for individuals and $18 individuals with families which includes:

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance 100% covered for employee and family, with only a $750 annual deductible, and $10 co-pays and prescriptions 401K with dollar-for-dollar match up to 4%, 100% vested after 1 year Additional profit-sharing contribution of $1 per hour into 401K regardless of participation $50k life insurance for employee YOUR QUALIFICATIONS At least 18 years old Willing to participate in a pre-employment physical and drug screen Reliable means of transportation EVEN BETTER (BUT NOT REQUIRED) IF You have scraper or other heavy equipment operation experience You have MSHA and/or OSHA certification YOU'LL HAVE THE BEST OPPORTUNITY TO SUCCEED IF You appreciate the positive impact the Dirt World has on society You want to learn and grow while working on awesome projects You're motivated by solving challenges to do what's best for clients and the team You're willing to work extended hours as needed to meet project deadlines, with time-and-a-half pay over 40 hours To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each key responsibility satisfactorily.
