Job Summary The Manufacturing Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring production machinery to produce high-quality products consistently and efficiently. This mid-level role involves adjusting equipment, troubleshooting issues, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and standard operating procedures. The ideal candidate has hands-on manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment while supporting production goals and team success. Key Duties and Responsibilities Set up, calibrate, and operate manufacturing and filling equipment according to production schedules and established proceduresMonitor machine performance during operation to ensure efficiency, quality, and minimal downtimeTroubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical or process issues; escalate complex problems to supervision or maintenancePerform routine equipment adjustments, cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenanceConduct in-process and final quality checks to ensure products meet specifications and quality standardsAccurately record production data, machine performance, downtime, and maintenance activitiesLoad raw materials into machines and unload finished products as requiredClean and sanitize equipment, totes, drums, and tanks after production runsSafely move materials and equipment including tanks, totes, pallets, and boxesSafely operate forklifts, drum handling equipment, and bottle fillers (as required)Ensure all production activities comply with safety requirements, SOPs, GMPs, and regulatory standardsMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all timesCollaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams to support production goals and product consistencyAssist with training and guiding less experienced operators on proper machine operation and safety practicesIdentify opportunities for process improvement and communicate suggestions to leadership Skills & Qualifications 24 years of experience operating production or manufacturing equipment in a manufacturing environmentStrong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issuesAbility to follow detailed work instructions, SOPs, and technical documentationProficiency with basic measurement tools and quality inspection techniquesExcellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workEffective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skillsAbility to stand for extended periods and lift, push, pull, or move materials up to 50 poundsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredVocational, technical, or manufacturing-related training preferredForklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain HOURS: Monday - Thursday 6:00AM-4:30PM, no weekends BENEFITS: 401(k) with Company MatchMedicalDentalVisionEmployer Paid Life Insurance/AD&DAccident InsuranceHospital Indemnity PlanCritical IllnessVoluntary Life/AD&DShort Term DisabilityTELUS Health/LifeWorks EAPEmployee Discount ProgramPaid Time Off (PTO)Paid Holidays$2,500 Hiring Bonus About Groomer's Choice Groomers Choice is a trusted partner for professional pet groomers, providing high-quality grooming supplies, equipment, and education to help businesses thrive.
