Job description

Forklift / Warehouse Waste Technician (Hazmat Receiving & Materials Handling)

Pay: $17.95 $18.50/hour

Schedule: MondayFriday | 7:00 a.m. 3:30 p.m. (Occasional Saturday 7:00 a.m. 11:00 a.m.)

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Tulsa, OK

Forklift / Warehouse Waste Technician Must-Have Requirements

  • Forklift experience required (warehouse or industrial environment)
  • Strong commitment to safety and following procedures
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in non-climate-controlled conditions
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to work in a team environment (5+ coworkers)
  • Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Forklift / Warehouse Waste Technician Position Summary

  • Support inbound receiving operations for drum building and material handling
  • Operate forklift to load, unload, and move hazardous and non-hazardous materials
  • Assist with sampling, sorting, and consolidating materials for processing
  • Maintain safe, organized, and compliant warehouse operations

Forklift / Warehouse Waste Technician Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Unload inbound LTL and box truck shipments in receiving area
  • Operate forklifts with drum attachments to move materials safely
  • Sample incoming materials for lab testing
  • Move and stage materials within warehouse and loading areas
  • Perform material consolidation and transfer into larger containers
  • Operate drum crusher equipment as needed
  • Inspect containers and verify serialization accuracy
  • Maintain proper segregation of hazardous and non-hazardous materials
  • Assist with spill response and cleanup when required
  • Communicate with internal departments to support workflow
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements
  • Complete additional duties as assigned

Forklift / Warehouse Waste Technician Additional Qualifications

  • Hazmat or chemical handling experience preferred
  • RF scanner experience is a plus
  • Receiving or warehouse logistics experience preferred
  • Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
  • Must be able to pass respirator fit test
  • Willingness to complete 40-hour HAZWOPER training
  • Strong attention to detail and safety mindset
  • Dependable and able to work in a structured safety-driven environment
