Through supervised family time, safe exchanges, and evidence-based parenting education, the department offers both in-person and virtual services designed to prioritize safety, emotional health, and positive parent-child connections. Guided by the belief that every family has strengths and every child deserves a safe, nurturing environment, the department works to prevent family violence and support families through education, supervision, and community collaboration.JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIESThe Parenting Education and Support (PES) Educator provides direct, strengths-based parenting education to families, delivering evidence-based curriculum in a supportive and community-centered learning environment. This role supports parents in building skills that promote safe, healthy, and nurturing relationships with their children while ensuring services align with the agency's mission, quality standards, and community needs. Attends community or agency meetings and participates in other community outreach functions.Collects client demographic information, program service statistics and case records for reporting purposes.Performs other duties as assigned.TRANSPORTATIONMust maintain a valid driver's license and carry personal auto liability insurance at the level of $100,000 / 300,000 / 100,000.REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONSBachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.LANGUAGE SKILLSMust be able to fluently speak, read, translate and write in the following language(s) : EnglishSpanish preferredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently is required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
