Job Title: Machine OperatorJob DescriptionThe Machine Operator sets up and runs a dedicated punch press line, performing light maintenance, part changeovers, and basic troubleshooting to keep production running smoothly. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on experience with machine operation, and confident use of hand and power tools in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate a dedicated punch press line safely and efficiently throughout the shift.
- Perform very light maintenance on machines, including basic adjustments, cleaning, and routine checks.
- Change out parts, tooling, or components on the punch press as needed for different jobs or production runs.
- Use hand and power tools confidently to support machine operation, maintenance, and part changeovers.
- Monitor machine performance, identify basic mechanical issues, and escalate more complex problems to appropriate personnel.
- Follow established work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards at all times.
- Handle and move materials and parts, lifting up to 50 lbs consistently as part of daily tasks.
- Work independently or with a partner to meet production goals and maintain an organized work area.
- Perform general labor and assembly-related tasks associated with the punch press operation as required.
- Document work as needed, such as recording production counts or reporting issues to supervisors.
Essential Skills- At least 1 year of hands-on machine operating experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
- Proven mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand how machines and mechanical systems function.
- Experience operating punch press, hydraulic, or die-press machines or similar production equipment.
- Proficiency using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to consistently lift and move up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to safety and quality procedures.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision and also collaborate effectively with a partner.
- Reliable attendance and willingness to work assigned shifts and occasional overtime.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Prior experience on hydraulic or die-press machines is strongly preferred.
- Background in assembly or general labor within a manufacturing setting is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Good problem-solving skills for basic mechanical and operational issues.
- Comfort working with production equipment in a structured, process-driven environment.

Work Environment
The role is based in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility, providing a comfortable and stable temperature throughout the year. Machine Operators work either independently on their own punch press line or alongside another team member, depending on production needs. The position is available on multiple shifts: first shift runs from 7:00 . to 4:00 ., and second shift runs from 1:30 . to 10:00 ., Monday through Friday, with the possibility of approximately 5 hours of overtime per week. The environment involves regular use of punch press machines, hydraulic or die-press equipment, and a variety of hand and power tools. Team members may wear headphones while working, allowing them to listen to audio as long as it does not interfere with safety or communication requirements.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
