Job Title: Machine OperatorJob DescriptionJoin our electronic automotive manufacturing team located in St. Charles, IL. We are a direct supplier for top automotive brands, producing OEM electronic parts in a state-of-the-art cleanroom environment. As a Machine Operator, you will ensure the continuous flow of production by running automated machinery to manufacture components such as power window switches, push-to-start buttons, and car entertainment consoles.
Responsibilities
- Work from specific verbal and/or written instructions and standard work instructions.
- Make routine adjustments and set-ups of equipment for measurable variables such as length, temperature, or process speed.
- Load raw material into machines, complete minor changeovers, monitor machine operations, and inspect completed parts to maintain job specifications.
- Maintain and clean machines before and after each shift.
- Maintain activity logs and participate in cross-training activities with other related positions.
- Support and participate in the company's management and quality system, including continuous improvement efforts.
- Notify group leader or supervisor of any problems or non-conforming product.
- Support and implement the environmental policy as it pertains to work activities.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the activities enumerated above.
- Stand comfortably for the entirety of the 8-hour shift.
- Use excellent visual acuity to identify visual defects and manual dexterity to handle small components.
- Lift materials weighing mostly under fifteen pounds.
Essential Skills- 1 year of manufacturing experience in production, inspection, or machine operating.
- Basic mechanical aptitude, assembly machine operation, and machine operating skills.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Comfortable standing for 8 hours a day.
- Experience working in a GMP environment and wearing a hairnet and gown.
- Great attendance and proven track record (validated via reference).
Additional Skills & Qualifications- 2+ years of manufacturing operating experience.
- Previous experience working within the automotive industry.

Work Environment
Work in a 350,000 square foot facility with around 250 employees. The production area is a cleanroom environment with departments like PSS (Power Seat Switch), ECU (Electrical Component Unit), and SMT (Surface Mount Technology), adhering to GMP protocols. Candidates must wear a gown, hairnet, and shoe covers, with no jewelry allowed. Shifts are 3rd Shift, 9:30 pm - 5:45 am, Sunday - Thursday. The warehouse area includes Shipping, Receiving, and Material Management departments, not requiring GMP protocols but needing steel toe shoes. Both production and warehouse areas are clean, organized, and climate-controlled.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
