Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Job Details:
Job Duration: 12 Months
Shift: 3rd shift (Mon-Fri)
Hours: (9:00 PM to 5:30 AM) Job Description: The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machinery in support of daily production requirements.
This role supports the Saws Department and ensures materials are machined accurately, efficiently, and safely according to production schedules and specifications.
Your Responsibilities: Conducts pre-operations inspections to ensure machine is ready to be operated in safe and efficient manner.
Reads and executes daily production schedule as directed by supervisor.
Will measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machining.
Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machinery.
Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut.
Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as required and reports problems to supervisor as necessary.
Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications and stops production if any part that is detected to be out of specification.
Will confer with supervisor to resolve machining problems.
Produces daily production reports, inspections and other reports as directed by supervisor.
Must have understanding and knowledge of company procedures and work instructions.
Maintains a safe and organized workstation and follows all company policies and safety procedures.
Machinery and Equipment: Operates CNC machinery, including Mazak or VL86 machines
Uses computers for machine operation and production logging
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Documentation and Reporting: Maintains and completes production logs and reports using a computer
Required Qualifications: Experience: 1–2 years of experience operating automatic CNC machines
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Technical Skills: Basic computer skills and ability to use PC equipment for production tracking and reporting
