Lead Material Handler
Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated Lead Material Handler to join our Government Solutions team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end processing and storage of clinical materials, providing guidance to team members to ensure daily productivity and quality standards are met while maintaining a T1 Investigation clearance.
What You'll Do
- Execute Complex Logistics: Process, inventory, and archive microscopic slides, paraffin blocks, and formalin-fixed tissues, ensuring accurate identification and distribution according to Defense Supply System regulations.
- Lead and Mentor: Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for specimen relocations, training team members across various functions and examining work for strict compliance with organizational policies.
- Optimize Operations: Conduct comprehensive audits of repository files and maintain automated supply systems to ensure efficient space usage and timely preservation of materials.
What You'll Bring
- 3-5 years of experience in material processing, inventory management, or a related clinical logistics field.
- Strong knowledge of medical/pharmaceutical terminology, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations, and supply automation systems.
- Proven ability in team training, operational quality assurance, and the handling of specialized clinical materials.
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
- Active T1 Investigation clearance.

Reasonably expected salary range: $46,800.00 - $58,500.00. Please note that an employee's starting salary may vary based on a variety of factors. Where State, Municipal, Provincial, Territorial or other legal minimum wages exceed the federal minimum wage, employees are entitled to the higher rate.
