JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE : Material Handler – Shipping & Receiving Driver
GENERAL SUMMARY :
The Forklift Driver works with Supervisor coordinating daily warehouse / dock activities, including housekeeping.
May be asked to perform other duties as assigned by Shipping Supervisor.
Reads and follows work instructions.
Drives industrial forklift equipped with lifting devices to push, pull, lift, stack, tier or move products and materials on and off trailers as well as in the warehouse and production, by performing the following duties.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES / EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Previous Hilo driving experience preferred due to time constraints in shipment requirements to customer.
High School Diploma or G.E.D
Minimum 1+ year experience in Forklift / Material Handling preferred
1+ year experience in the Automotive Industry preferred
Ability to safely operate Forklift equipment required
Flex N Gate Forklift re-certification is required.
Must be able to lift, twist, bend, squat, climb, stand and walk continuously in close, confined surroundings, as well as tolerate fumes and noise.
Demonstrate a good Attendance record; should be 2.0 or better.
Must be able to work mandatory OT as required 6-7 days per week.
