Full-Time / Supervisor - Sterile Processing at Corona Regional Medical Center
Provides oversight and local operations management of the Sterile Processing Department (SPD) supporting Surgical Services, various nursing units, and off-site clinics. Ensures coordinated and timely delivery of reprocessed items to clinical stakeholders within the health care organization. Ensures local facility sterilization and High-Level Disinfection (HLD) functions comply with all regulatory requirements. Manages SPD personnel and serves as liaison between SPD and other departments. Maintains effective interdepartmental relationships, coordinates, and resolves problems, and ensures cooperation with other programs and services. In conjunction with Surgical Services Director, manages the overall SPD budget including determining resource needs, allocation resources and ensuring proper utilization in productivity, efficiency, and cost effectiveness of SPD operations. Develops and maintains a system of internal reviews that ensure service programs operation in compliance with regulatory and accrediting organizations.
The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center® began in 5, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 2 and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center. The merged hospitals are now a -bed community hospital network comprised of a -bed acute care hospital and a -bed rehabilitation campus. It is certified by The Joint Commission, employs more than 1, trained healthcare workers and has a medical staff of approximately physicians representing more than specialtiy.

Central Processing Technician Certificate (CSPDT), Certified in Sterile Processing Management (CSPM),
SURGICAL INSTRUMENT SPECIALIST CERTIFICATION (CSIS), FLEXIBLE ENDOSCOPE REPROCESSOR -GI SCOPE CERTIFICATION (CFER) through Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution.
