Senior Engineering Specialist

Our Power Generation team is searching for a Senior Engineering Specialist, a technical leader responsible for delivering complex civil engineering designs and driving operational excellence across projects. What you will do:

• Lead the development of civil designs for projects, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Direct the preparation and refinement of technical drawings and construction documents for municipal and transportation projects, maintaining precision and consistency across all deliverables.
• Oversee the creation of comprehensive plan sheets and plan sets for construction using CAD/Revit and other advanced design tools.
• Provide guidance and technical direction to Engineering Technicians, engineers-in-training, and professional staff, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
• Serve as a key liaison between internal teams and other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of design components and adherence to project objectives.
• Establish and enforce rigorous quality control processes; review plans and specifications for constructability, risk mitigation, and compliance with client and jurisdictional requirements.
• Partner with Project Managers and Engineers of Record to develop conceptual, preliminary, and final designs; contribute to proposals, cost estimates, and project planning.
• Represent the firm in client meetings, providing technical expertise and ensuring alignment between design intent and client expectations.
• Drive continuous improvement by developing design standards, templates, and workflows that enhance efficiency and accuracy across projects.

What you will bring:

• Education: Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology, CAD Design, or equivalent professional experience in civil engineering design using CAD software.
• Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in municipal, land development, or renewable energy engineering, with demonstrated leadership in design and project coordination.
• Licenses/Certifications: Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate a motor vehicle is required.
• Software: Comprehensive knowledge of design platforms including, but not limited to: BlueSky Skyline/Lightning, SEED File Database, AutoCAD (Civil 3D), Bentley ArcGIS Pro, and Trimble Business Center.
