Worcester Surgical Center is seeking a motivated Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. Our fast paced ASC is committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.
Sign-on bonus eligible: Up to $2,500
Job Summary
The Sterile Processing Technician maintains all surgical instrumentation & scopes, sets up supplies for surgical cases.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Computer skills required
- CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred
- experience in SPD and scope processing highly preferred
- Knows operating room instrumentation.
- Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray.
- Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer.
- Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
- Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians
