Join AZAD as an Opto / Mechanical Technician
who will be responsible for the advanced assembly of optical systems for lasers, laser radars and electro-optical sensors and instruments.
This is a full-time consultant position based in Irvine, CA with a high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. The hourly pay rate for this position is
25 plus 10% differential depending on related qualifications and experience, as well as composition of selected compensation package.
Schedule :
2nd shift is 1 : 00pm to 10 : 30pm
Essential Functions :
Audit 1-2 work order kits from warehouse to confirm pieces and part numbers
Prepare subassembly components
Follow written procedures or drawings developed by engineers and suggest improvements to optimize production
Assemble and debug systems incorporating optical, mechanical, and electronic components
Test each level of assembly (4-5 processes) at the system level using laboratory instruments (, Zygo, etc.)
Alignment, optimization, stability, transmission, etc.
Package the final assembly daily (if assembly is completed)
Cross training is required (trainee and / or trainer)
The ideal candidate must possess the minimum qualifications :
0-2 years of related experience for Level 1
2-3 years of related experience for Level 2
The ability to read engineering drawings
The ability use measurement instruments (interferometer, Zygo) preferred
Experience entering data numbers into Microsoft Excel spreadsheets templates
The ability to speak, read, and write in English
