We are looking for an experienced Medical Biller for a client of ours that is a healthcare company based in Berkeley.
This is a contracted, full-time, possible temp to hire on position.
This position is NOT remote, it’s on-site.
The ideal candidate will be doing the following duties (may not be limited to) :
- Prepare, distribute and respond to all office correspondence
- Make phone calls to patients / doctors / insurance / billing companies
- Check / respond to voicemails throughout the day
- Enter accurate patient demographics / verify insurance coverage
- Post charges
- Obtain retro authorizations
- Collect / post / manage patient account
- Use ERA to process claims, submit clean claims to insurance
- Assist with preparation of patient statement, monthly closing
- Review delinquent accounts, process payments from insurance companies / patients
- Follow up on claims to see if its been accepted / denied
- Investigate rejected claims on the reason of denial
