General Description Of Position : Read assigned water meters, perform and complete service orders related to new service turn on requests, service turn off requests, meter leak checks, re-reads and various other tasks. Participate in the monthly cut off process. Perform and complete customer service related tasks and other duties as assigned.
Examples Of Duties
Essential Duties And Responsibilities : 1. Meter Reading 2. Service Orders 3. Monthly Cut Off Process 4. Customer Service Requests 5. Use & Oversight Of Assigned City Vehicle 5. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Typical Qualifications
Education And Experience : High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and / or on the job education in a specific skill area; related experience and / or training, however acquired.
Supplemental Information
Physical Activities : Walking, bending, stooping, crawling, being on your hands and knees; finger dexterity enough to operate equipment such as a smartphone, personal keyboard; near vision enough to read and review smartphone screen and computer generated work orders; speech and hearing enough to communicate clearly and distinctly in person and by telephone; primarily outdoor climate environment; flexible enough to use hands and arms to grab, hold, reach, etc.; strength to lift and / or move up to 50 lbs; frequently lift and / or move up to 25 lbs; driving assigned vehicle.
