Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an Application Security Engineer to join their team! This position is located in Glendale, California.

Duties:

• Write automation tools for your team and other internal teams to self-service, deploy, detect, alert, and mitigate in our AWS environments
• Define and implement best practices and security standards for operating in the cloud
• Provide guidance and recommendations to development teams on service design and deployments
• Operate the AWS Accounts to help maintain a security posture while ensuring developers can get their work done
• Participate in investigations and RCA's when we hit the limits of our scale, continuously improving by learning from failures
• Work with infrastructure tooling and serve as a resource for forming cloud infrastructure as code
• Troubleshoot and implement appropriate IAM permissions for user access and workloads running in AWS
• Troubleshoot network security and reachability with development teams
• Monitor and work on inbound issues reported via Jira, email, and Slack

Desired Skills/Experience:

• 5+ years of AWS experience
• 3+ years of experience with infrastructure and CI/CD management tools - Terraform and Jenkins is a plus
• 3+ years of relevant software engineering experience - python/bash is a plus
• Proficiency with general and AWS-specific networking concepts
• Expertise in CI/CD concepts and tools such as Jenkins and Spinnaker
• Hands-on AWS Security/IAM administration and policy-creation experience
• Experience with Unix/Linux systems
• Practical and personable, with a succinct communication style and the ability to communicate with engineers
• Familiarity with operational troubleshooting tools and techniques

The approximate pay range for this position is between $65.00 and $85.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
