We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Engineer with extensive experience in firewall technologies, specifically Palo Alto, Fortigate, and Cisco ASA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing network security solutions to protect our organization's data and infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of network security principles and practices, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams to ensure the highest level of security.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage firewall solutions using Palo Alto, Fortigate, and Cisco ASA.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.
  • Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure network architecture and compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members and other departments.
  • Stay current with emerging security threats and technologies to enhance the organization's security posture.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Proven experience with firewall technologies, specifically Palo Alto, Fortigate, and Cisco ASA.
  • Strong understanding of network security protocols and best practices.
  • Experience in configuring and managing security policies and rules on firewalls.
  • Ability to analyze network traffic and identify potential security threats.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
  • Experience with intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
  • Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud security practices and technologies.
  • Experience with scripting or automation tools for security management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10 15 years of experience in network security engineering or a related role.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
