Salary: $207,000 - 320,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Active Top Secret clearance with current or previously held SCI access
  • Technical certifications: Security+ and at least one platform-specific security certification (PCNSE, Fortinet NSE, or Cisco security certification)
  • DoD 8140 certification aligned with the 441 Network Operations Specialist role, such as Network+, Security+, Cloud+, SSCP, CASP+, CISSP, or CCNP Security
  • Over 10 years of experience in network engineering focusing on enterprise network security
  • Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and managing next-generation firewalls, VPNs, intrusion prevention systems, and network access control platforms
  • Practical experience in securing network perimeters and internal segments, including policy design, segmentation, and threat mitigation
  • Operational experience managing firewall rule sets, VPN tunnels, and security policies in mission-critical environments
  • Hands-on experience with at least one enterprise security platform such as Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, or Cisco security technologies
  • Proficient with Cisco ISE and Cisco ASA environments
  • Experience with IDS and IPS solutions and endpoint configuration hardening in secure environments
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust architectures and identity-centric network security patterns
  • Bachelors degree in a technical discipline is preferred, relevant experience may substitute for education
  • Ability to immediately contribute in a mission-critical operational environment
Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and oversee firewalls, VPNs, IPS, and NAC solutions in mission-critical settings
  • Fortify network perimeters and internal segments utilizing defense-in-depth strategies
  • Swiftly respond to security incidents, vulnerabilities, and operational requirements with urgency
  • Assist in continuous enhancements and fortifications of the network infrastructure
  • Engage in Agile implementation, technical planning, and discussions on security risks
  • Clearly communicate security impacts, risks, and mitigation strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Suggest and execute improvements in security architecture and operations
  • Act as a hands-on technical subject matter expert, providing immediate contributions with minimal onboarding
  • Build and maintain a high level of trust and confidence with customers through consistent, secure service delivery
  • Apply creativity and engineering judgment to create practical, mission-focused security solutions
