Works collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice. Carries out functions according to hospital policy, the hospital mission, and standards of practice defined by professional and regulatory guidelines. Directs, coordinates and delegates activities in order to foster patient / family centered care. / ppEssential Functions and Responsibilities : / pp1. Assesses the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of the patient. / pp2. Plans and implements nursing care according to patient and family needs. / pp3. Performs other related job duties as assigned. / ppQualifications : / ppRequired : / pulliGraduate of a Nursing program. / liliCurrent State of Michigan Registered Nurse license. / liliBLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or Canadian equivalent, is required before start date and valid at least 60 days beyond start date. / liliACLS required by end of unit orientation for CCL, PACU, ENDO, IR, ICU, ED, CDU, CSS, CSU, Ambulatory Surgery, and the Step-Down Unit. / liliNRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required by end of unit orientation for FBC. / liliOne-year related specialty care experience required in OR hospital setting as a circulating RN. / li / ulpPreferred : / pulliBachelor of Science in Nursing. / liliWound Care Certification (WCC / WOCN / CWCA) if working in Wound Care Center - preferred Wound Care Certification MUST BE OBTAINED WITHIN 12 MOS OF HIRE DATE. / liliOne-year related specialty care experience preferred for Cardiac Cath Lab, OR / PASS (Post Anesthesia Care Unit), IR (Interventional Radiology), ICU, Endo or Ambulatory Surgery. / li / ulpWeekend / Holiday Requirements : / ppOperating Room day shift staff rotate working seven (7) afternoon weekend shifts and seven (7) midnight weekend shifts each four-week schedule, as assigned by inverse seniority.
