Job description

Key Responsibilities:

Effectively supervises a team to meet productivity goals and expectations in the inventory department.

Essential Functions:

  • Supports team members by assisting with inventory related duties
  • Coaches team through inventory control processes and procedures
  • Ability to train employees in all functions responsible for
  • Has a thorough knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control

Knowledge, Skills, Duties and Abilities:

  • Promotes team productivity (staying on track with counting expectations), accuracy, and ensuring proper time management with the team
  • Assists with tracking and verifying product discrepancies as they occur
  • Assists with with verifying cycle counts
  • Responsible for reporting and administrative functions, including but not limited to; damaged goods, vendor returns, or cycle counting.
  • Validating that products are restocked and are considered pick ready
  • Collaborate with Management to post daily goals and projects
  • Able to perform tasks accurately
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Able to stay organized, on task, work well independently and as a team
  • Self-motivated and customer service driven attitude
  • Able to use scanners in conjunction with the WMS system
  • Check and restock merchandise; inventory, inspect for damage, and verify counts
  • Meet and maintain accuracy and production goals
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work effectively within a diverse population and workforce both individually and as part of a team
  • Ability to adapt to changes as they occur
  • Completion of any documentation required or assigned by management
  • Comply with federal, state, local, OSHA, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Perform other duties and/or work in other departments of work location as assigned

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Must submit to and successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Wear appropriate footwear protection and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as directed by Company policy
  • Acknowledgement of and adherence to all Company policies and procedures as contained within the Fisher Auto Parts Employee and Driver’s Handbooks

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
  • Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, reach, lift, carry, bend, kneel, squat, and stoop
  • Also required to climb, push/pull, balance, crouch or crawl, talk, speak, and hear
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • May be occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts and/or vehicles, high/precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, various degrees of cold and heat, risk of electrical shock, items of bulky or varying weight, risk of explosion, and/or vibration. Noise level may be moderate to heavy
  • Must have considerable mobility, and be able to stand and/or sit for long durations of time
