Requirements
We are searching for a candidate with:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator with a strong safety record.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management and reporting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Duties and Responsibilities
A typical day may include:
- Operating battery and propane-powered lift trucks to pick up and transport raw materials, work in process, or finished product to and from designated storage areas or production work centers.
- Performing material handling assignments in punch press, roll forming, painting, valley, warehouse, storage, shipping and receiving areas.
- Moving aluminum, steel and copper coils from designated storage area to work centers and to storage area.
- Removal of scrap bins, weighting and recording scrap weights, cardboard, and wooden pallets.
- Detecting and reporting faulty operation of equipment and reporting findings to supervisor.
- Providing for normal operating maintenance of equipment used and keeping it in a clean and orderly condition
- Following established policies, practices, and procedures to ensure product quality, continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
- Any additional responsibilities deemed necessary by leadership.
