Position Overview


Geospatial Data, Inc. (GDI) is seeking a licensed Texas Professional Engineer (PE) to join our Civil Engineering team in Amarillo, TX. This is a senior-level role for a Civil Engineer who wants autonomy, real responsibility, and the opportunity to lead projects from planning through construction—not just design behind a desk.


The ideal candidate brings expert experience in municipal and commercial development, public infrastructure, and client-facing leadership. You will serve as a key technical and professional representative of the firm, working directly with clients, cities, counties, architects, developers, and elected/appointed bodies.

Key Responsibilities


  • Serve as the Engineer of Record
  • Lead commercial and municipal civil design projects
  • Design water, wastewater, sewer, and lift station systems
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, and city/county staff
  • Present before planning & zoning commissions and city councils
  • Manage projects from concept through construction
  • Maintain strict client confidentiality

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (Texas)
  • Minimum 4 years of experience
  • Strong municipal and commercial development experience
  • Excellent communication skills
