Job description

Packaging Associate Reports to:

  • Packaging Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Department: Pakcaging Location: Phoenix, AZ Pay Range: $16.00/hr Position Summary: The Packaging Associate is responsible for accurately weighing, labeling, and packaging cannabis products while maintaining strict compliance and quality standards.
  • This role supports production efficiency and ensures products are ready for retail sale in a clean, organized, and high-output environment.
  • Ideal candidates bring focus, precision, and a collaborative spirit to the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to coordinate with management to meet packaging goals in a compliant and timely manner.
  • Must weigh, label, and package cannabis products accurately using standard and metric measurement systems.
  • Must maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace according to SOPs and safety guidelines.
  • Responsible for restocking packaging and labeling supplies to ensure workflow is uninterrupted.
  • Must operate and perform routine maintenance on weighing and packaging equipment.
  • Responsible for supporting quality assurance and compliance throughout the packaging process.
  • May be required to assist with special projects or cross-functional tasks as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Facility Agent Card in accordance with Arizona state regulations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required (or a combination of education and experience).
  • Basic math skills and comfort working with both standard and metric systems.
  • High attention to detail and ability to maintain quality during repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with cannabis products and industry knowledge preferred.
  • Strong team player with a positive, adaptable mindset.

Education and Certifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • No certifications required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for packaging tasks and equipment use.

Work Environment:

  • Work is performed in a production facility with exposure to cannabis products and materials.
  • Environment may include loud machinery, temperature changes, and dust or plant particles.
  • PPE may be required depending on assigned tasks or safety protocols.

Travel Requirements:

  • None.
