Job Duties
Patient Care
- Assists assigned patients with activities of daily living (ADL) according to treatment plan, policies, procedures, unit routines and protocol.
- Observe, report, document changes in the patient's physical and behavioral status, ADLs, and other tasks as assigned to the licensed nurse or Lead CNA in a timely and accurate manner.
- Utilize therapeutic interventions that reflect knowledge of Therapeutic Options unit routines and rules, and patient treatment guidelines.
- Escort patients to other departments, meals and outside of hospital per protocols and procedure.
- Perform assignments according to policy and procedures.
- Constant Supportive Observation (CS0) as assigned.
- Participates in therapeutic activities and / or groups for patients.
- Performs assignments utilizing principles of Recovery Model

Minimum Qualifications
Ability to provide patient care under supervision of licensed staff and / or Lead CNA; ability to follow instructions and report observations to licensed nurse in timely manner; skills in providing assistance to patients in activities of daily living. Demonstrates competencies as defined on Competency Assessment
