Irrigation & Pump Technician Assistant to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation and pump
systems. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, learning technical skills, and
being part of a team that delivers exceptional service to customers.
As an Irrigation & Pump Technician Assistant, you will work alongside experienced technicians, gaining valuable
experience in irrigation systems, pump maintenance, custom controller assembly, and field service operations
while contributing to safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution.
Requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to learn.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and move tools, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to travel as needed (approximately 25% travel).
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following established procedures.
- Previous irrigation, landscaping, construction, mechanical, or field-service experience is a plus, but not required
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of irrigation systems, including pipes, valves, sprinklers,
- controllers, and related components.
- Maintaining records, creating quotes and following sales protocols
- Support basic pump and motor maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs under supervision.
- Assist in building and assembling custom irrigation controllers.
- Perform trenching, backfilling, site preparation, and job site cleanup.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance activities.
- Load, unload, transport, and organize tools, equipment, and materials.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas, vehicles, and equipment.
- Track inventory, materials, equipment usage, and service activities.
- Provide professional customer service and support field technicians.
- Follow all company safety policies, job site procedures, and regulations.
- Participate in training programs and ongoing technical development.
