Job description

Regional Director, Food & Beverage

The Regional Director, Food & Beverage is responsible for shaping and delivering a world-class dining and hospitality experience across a portfolio of LCS senior living communities. This role elevates food and beverage beyond traditional dining into a hallmark of the resident lifestyle - on par with luxury hotels and destination resorts.

With a focus on innovation, brand distinction, and exceptional service culture, this leader drives a hospitality-first vision that creates memorable, personalized experiences while achieving operational excellence and strong financial performance. The ideal candidate brings a refined understanding of luxury service standards and a passion for curating experiences that rival top-tier hospitality environments.

Experience is Everything.

At LCS, experience is everything. We provide you the opportunity to use your talents in a progressive, growing organization that makes a positive difference in the lives of the seniors we serve. If you are seeking an organization that gives back, you'll love working here. Our principles and hospitality promises define our company culture. LCS employees can be found participating in volunteer activities, getting involved in our committees or collaborating with team members in our innovative workspace. You'll find several opportunities to grow as a professional, serve the community, and enhance the lives of seniors.

What You'll Do:

Leadership & Brand Elevation:

  • Define and champion a compelling food and beverage vision that positions dining as a signature pillar of the LCS resident experience.
  • Partner with senior and community leadership to align hospitality strategy with brand positioning, resident satisfaction, and market differentiation.
  • Inspire a culture of intuitive, anticipatory service reflective of luxury hotel and resort standards across all communities.

Quality Standards:

  • Establish and continuously refine elevated culinary and service standards that reflect best-in-class hospitality environments.
  • Drive consistency and excellence through rigorous quality assurance processes, audits, and performance benchmarks.
  • Maintains knowledge of all federal, state, and local government regulations impacting community food and beverage services, especially those related to food safety and CMS.
  • Participates in developing or changing policies as needed based on regulatory changes.

Culinary Innovation & Experience Design:

  • Lead the creation of distinctive, restaurant-quality dining concepts that reflect current culinary trends, global influences, and wellness-forward nutrition.
  • Curate diverse dining venues and experiences, from casual to fine dining, designed to delight and engage residents.
  • Provide support and leadership for new developments, renovations, and repositioning efforts, including kitchen design reviews that support elevated service delivery, efficiency, and experiential flow.
  • Collaborate on strategic sourcing and vendor partnerships that enhance quality, innovation, and brand alignment.

Talent Strategy & Culture of Excellence:

  • Attract, develop, and retain top-tier hospitality talent, with a focus on leaders experienced in luxury hotels, resorts, and fine dining environments.
  • Mentor and elevate dining leaders to embody a service ethos grounded in professionalism, presence, and personalized resident engagement.
  • Champion ongoing training that blends technical excellence with the art of hospitality.
  • Conduct immersive site visits, delivering high-level coaching and strategic insight to continuously elevate performance.

Financial Leadership & Value Creation:

  • Provide oversight of financial performance, balancing elevated experiences with disciplined cost management and profitability.
  • Drive strategic initiatives that enhance revenue, optimize labor and product costs, and improve overall operational efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement strategies and leverage scale to maximize value while maintaining premium quality standards.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business Administration, or related field required, advanced degree preferred. Additional training or certification in healthcare administration, food safety, or regulatory compliance is a plus.
  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in luxury hospitality, hotels, resorts, healthcare dining, or multi-unit food and beverage operations; senior living, post-acute care, or hospital experience strongly preferred.
  • Prior Regional Food & Beverage Director or equivalent multi-unit leadership experience preferred with demonstrated success operating in regulated environments, including familiarity with healthcare compliance standards and survey readiness.
  • Proven track record of elevating guest and resident dining experiences to luxury standards while aligning with clinical, nutritional, and regulatory requirements in healthcare or senior living settings.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations, including CMS guidelines, infection control standards, therapeutic diets, and food safety compliance (e.g., ServSafe, HACCP), with the ability to operationalize these standards across multiple communities.
  • Deep expertise in culinary innovation, global dining trends, clinical nutrition integration, wine and beverage programming, and high-touch service delivery within both hospitality and healthcare environments.
  • Strong business acumen with experience managing complex Profit & Loss statements across multiple locations, balancing cost control, quality outcomes, and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams through regulatory surveys and audits, ensuring documentation, training, and operational practices consistently meet or exceed CMS and state requirements.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence, inspire, and build relationships at all levels of the organization, including operations, clinical leadership, compliance teams, and external regulators.
