Employment Type: Full-time, salaried position with commission

Turn Relationships Into Growth and Growth Into Meaningful Care

Are you an experienced relationship builder who knows how to open doors, generate opportunities, and transform professional connections into long-term partnerships?

Helping Hearts USA LLC is seeking energetic, self-motivated, goal-oriented, organized, creative, and highly communicative Business Development Representatives to support our continued growth throughout the United States.

We are looking for professionals who bring more than enthusiasm. Qualified candidates must have an established referral network within their local market and a proven ability to generate leads, build strategic partnerships, close new business, and develop repeat referral relationships.

Each BDR will be assigned a specific local or regional territory based on the candidate’s location, professional network, experience, company needs, and the operational readiness of the proposed market.

About Helping Hearts

Helping Hearts USA LLC is a mission-driven home-care organization dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families.

We provide compassionate, dependable, non-medical home-care and personal-support services designed to help individuals remain safe, comfortable, supported, and as independent as possible.

We are committed to expanding our reach, strengthening community partnerships, and connecting more families with the support they need.

Position Overview

As a Business Development Representative, you will serve as a visible and trusted representative of Helping Hearts throughout your assigned territory.

This is more than a traditional sales position. It is an opportunity to create meaningful community partnerships, generate qualified referrals, increase client admissions and service hours, and contribute directly to the company’s long-term growth.

The successful candidate will develop, maintain, and expand a reliable network of repeat home-care referrals while establishing relationships with leading healthcare professionals, community partners, and referral influencers.

This position reports to Helping Hearts’ Business Development and executive leadership teams and works closely with operations, scheduling, recruiting, and marketing.

Key Responsibilities

Build and Maintain Referral Relationships

  • Establish, nurture, and expand long-term relationships with professional referral sources.

  • Create partnerships that produce consistent, repeat home-care referrals.

  • Build trust and rapport with healthcare professionals, community leaders, prospective clients, and families.

  • Maintain frequent contact with active referral partners to keep Helping Hearts visible and accessible.

Prospecting and Community Outreach

  • Identify prospective clients, referral sources, and business partners through market research, cold calling, email campaigns, in-person visits, networking events, community outreach, and professional referrals.

  • Conduct daily outreach and maintain consistent engagement with current and prospective referral sources.

  • Use established professional relationships to introduce Helping Hearts to new partnership opportunities.

  • Represent Helping Hearts at approved professional meetings, networking functions, healthcare events, and community programs.

Develop Key Referral Sources

Build and maintain relationships with:

  • Hospitals and discharge-planning departments

  • Rehabilitation centers

  • Assisted-living and senior-living communities

  • Skilled-nursing facilities

  • Physician offices and medical practices

  • Home-health and hospice agencies

  • Case managers and care coordinators

  • Social workers and discharge planners

  • Elder-law and estate-planning professionals

  • Veterans’ organizations

  • Faith-based and community organizations

  • Other senior-care, disability-support, and healthcare professionals

Lead Generation and Sales

  • Generate qualified leads and convert appropriate opportunities into new clients.

  • Guide prospective referral partners through Helping Hearts’ referral process.

  • Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries and referral opportunities.

  • Conduct presentations and clearly communicate Helping Hearts’ services, mission, values, and service capabilities.

  • Negotiate and close business opportunities within the authority provided by company leadership.

  • Meet or exceed established referral, admission, revenue, and monthly service-hour goals.

Market Research and Business Strategy

  • Monitor local healthcare, senior-care, home-care, and community-service trends.

  • Remain informed about competitor activity, referral patterns, market conditions, and community needs.

  • Identify underserved areas and potential growth opportunities within the assigned territory.

  • Develop creative marketing and outreach strategies based on the needs of the local market.

  • Maintain extensive knowledge of Helping Hearts’ services, referral process, pricing structure, and service enhancements.

  • Provide leadership with meaningful feedback about market conditions and growth opportunities.

Pipeline and CRM Management

  • Maintain an accurate and active pipeline of prospective clients and referral partners.

  • Document all calls, visits, meetings, referrals, follow-ups, and outcomes in the company’s CRM system.

  • Complete timely follow-up with every qualified opportunity.

  • Submit required activity reports, referral updates, and performance reports by established deadlines.

  • Track progress toward weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual performance goals.

  • Maintain accurate records supporting commission and bonus eligibility.

Collaboration and Customer Service

  • Work closely with operations, scheduling, recruiting, marketing, and company leadership.

  • Support a smooth transition from referral to client intake and service.

  • Respond to questions and concerns promptly, respectfully, and professionally.

  • Participate actively in business-development training, team meetings, performance reviews, and strategic planning.

  • Complete assigned daily, weekly, and monthly business-development responsibilities.

  • Contribute to a collaborative, enjoyable, and high-performing work environment.

Performance Expectations

Performance will be measured using clearly established expectations that may include:

  • Daily and weekly outreach activity

  • In-person referral-source visits

  • New professional relationships established

  • Qualified referrals generated

  • Client assessments and admissions

  • New and recurring monthly service hours

  • Revenue generated within the assigned territory

  • Lead-conversion and referral-conversion rates

  • CRM accuracy and timely follow-up

  • Referral-source retention and repeat business

  • Participation in networking and community events

Individual performance expectations will be established according to the assigned market and communicated in writing.

Onboarding and Ramp-Up Support

Helping Hearts will provide a structured onboarding and market-development period before full territory expectations are applied.

Training and support may include:

  • Helping Hearts service and company-orientation training

  • CRM and pipeline-management training

  • Sales-process and documentation training

  • Approved marketing and presentation materials

  • Service eligibility, pricing, and referral-process education

  • Territory-development guidance

  • Regular coaching and performance meetings

  • Collaboration with operational and executive leadership

During the initial development period, goals will focus on learning Helping Hearts’ services, developing the assigned territory, establishing referral-source relationships, and building an active sales pipeline. Expectations will progress toward full referral, admission, revenue, and service-hour goals.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.

  • Possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

  • Have at least two years of successful business-development, healthcare sales, home-care sales, senior-care marketing, community-relations, or closely related experience.

  • Have an established network of professional referral relationships within the market they are applying to represent.

  • Have a proven record of generating leads, developing partnerships, closing new business, and meeting performance goals.

  • Demonstrate strong verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Understand professional sales terminology, prospecting, lead nurturing, relationship management, negotiation, and closing strategies.

  • Be comfortable making cold calls, conducting in-person visits, delivering professional presentations, and attending networking events.

  • Be highly organized, dependable, self-aware, coachable, and attentive to detail.

  • Be capable of independently managing a field-based territory while remaining accountable to leadership.

  • Have reliable access to a smartphone and computer.

  • Be comfortable using CRM software, email, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and other business-management systems.

  • Maintain a polished, professional appearance while representing Helping Hearts.

  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with company policies, ethical standards, privacy requirements, and applicable state and federal regulations.

Established Referral Network Requirement

Candidates must have an active professional network within their proposed territory that can support immediate outreach and long-term market development.

Relevant relationships may include hospitals, case managers, discharge planners, rehabilitation centers, senior communities, physicians, social workers, hospice agencies, home-health providers, elder-law professionals, veterans’ organizations, and community leaders.

Applicants must not provide confidential, proprietary, or protected client information belonging to a current or former employer. Network strength will be evaluated through the candidate’s professional history, demonstrated market knowledge, relationship-building experience, and previous results.

Transportation and Travel Requirements

Because this is a field-based position, applicants must have:

  • A valid driver’s license

  • Active automobile insurance

  • Reliable personal transportation

  • An acceptable driving record

  • The ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory

Approved business-development travel and expenses will be handled according to Helping Hearts’ current company policies. Applicable reimbursement information will be reviewed with candidates during the hiring and offer process.

Schedule and Availability

This is a full-time position requiring availability during normal business hours.

The BDR must also be available for approved early-morning, evening, or occasional weekend networking events, presentations, community activities, and referral opportunities when business needs require.

Daily field activity, timely follow-up, team communication, scheduled meetings, CRM documentation, and performance reporting are essential responsibilities of the position.

Employment and Onboarding Requirements

Selected candidates must provide or complete:

  • Proof of high school completion or equivalent

  • A complete five-year employment history

  • Five professional references. Friends and family members may not be used.

  • A comprehensive background check covering up to 15 years, where legally permitted

  • Drug screening, when applicable and legally permitted

  • Driver’s-license, automobile-insurance, and driving-record verification

  • Any additional documentation required for the assigned state or territory

Employment offers are contingent upon satisfactory completion of all applicable background checks, screenings, employment verifications, document requirements, and professional-reference reviews.

The complete compensation package includes:

  • Base salary
