Overview:
As a Central Sterile Processing Technician 2, you'll play a pivotal role in our Sterile Processing Department, independently handling core responsibilities under the guidance of our Clinical Operations Supervisor. This position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates!
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborative Functions:
- Serve as a mentor to junior technicians, ensuring skill development and adherence to protocols.
- Coordinate workflow efficiently to meet departmental needs.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and cross-functional work groups.
Decontamination and Cleaning:
- Utilize appropriate PPE for safety.
- Receive, sort, and decontaminate equipment, instruments, and supplies.
- Select and employ manual and automated cleaning tools effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area.
Assembly and Packaging:
- Document all work in tracking software.
- Inspect, assemble, and package equipment following guidelines.
- Identify missing items and escalate issues as needed.
- Ensure proper labeling and packaging methods.
