Job description
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Project Engineer / Manager to lead construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is responsible for cost control, scheduling, constructability, subcontractor coordination, and owner communication, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with contract requirements. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of construction management experience (industrial preferred). Solid knowledge of construction costs, scheduling, estimating, and contracts. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Procore experience preferred. PMP, CCM, and OSHA 30 certifications are a plus. Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities: Manage daily execution of construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control. Serve as primary liaison with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. Lead preconstruction and bid processes; conduct buy-outs and prepare subcontracts. Develop and maintain master project schedules and financial reports. Oversee QA/QC, safety enforcement, risk evaluation, and contract administration. Resolve design conflicts and propose cost-effective solutions. Coordinate pay applications, project closeout, punch lists, and as-built documentation. Communicate project status through regular operational review meetings.
