Job description
The Process Engineer is responsible for designing, optimizing, and supporting manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and ensure high-quality aerospace production. The role requires strong analytical, technical, and communication skills, along with hands‑on involvement in process documentation, continuous improvement, and resolving shop floor issues. Client Details The company is a well-established, mid-sized organization within the industrial and manufacturing industry, known for its innovative approach to production and commitment to delivering high-quality products. Their engineering and manufacturing team is integral to maintaining their reputation for excellence. Description Reporting directly into the Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for the following: Develop and implement process improvements from start to finish to meet production goals and quality standards. Analyze and enhance manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and optimize workflows. Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. Document and update standard operating procedures (SOP's) to reflect process changes. Provide technical support and training to production staff as needed. Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve production issues promptly. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all manufacturing processes. Profile A successful Process Engineer should have: High School Degree or GED. CAD/CAM experience. NX experience. Ability to interpret blueprints. Knowledge of GD&T. Proficiency in working with CNC machines. Plating, surface treating, heat treat experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality standards. Experience with process improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in the industrial and manufacturing industry.
