Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to support safe and efficient surgical operations. This role is responsible for the full cycle of sterile processing to ensure surgical instruments and equipment meet all infection control and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform full-cycle sterile processing including decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, storage, and distribution of surgical instruments
- Operate and monitor sterilization equipment and ensure proper documentation of all processes
- Inspect instruments and trays for cleanliness, functionality, and integrity
- Assemble surgical trays according to established guidelines and procedure requirements
- Follow all infection control policies, regulatory standards, and manufacturer instructions
- Maintain accurate records and support overall department workflow and efficiency
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on Sterile Processing experience
- Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) Certification (CRCST or equivalent)
- Current BLS certification
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in hospital or surgical services environments
- Knowledge of sterilization standards, infection control protocols, and best practices
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and transport trays and equipment as required
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Modesto, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
