Association Banking Lockbox Processor I
The Association Banking Lockbox Processor I position is responsible for daily processing and preparing lockbox payments.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Opening and reviewing incoming lockbox mail and preparing lockbox payments, prior to processing.
- Processing lockbox payments.
- Placing postage on department documents to be mailed.
- Preparing documents awaiting system input.
- Processing various customer requests in systems.
- Verifying various document requests previously processed in systems.
- Performing document scanning, committing, and auditing processes.
- Performing functions or assisting with special projects.
- Following written and verbal department procedures and alerting manager of any written procedure changes for updates.
- Completing required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned.
- Performing any other related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications:

Education and experience: High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 7 to 11 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Communication skills: Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, notes, letters and memos; Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Mathematical skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Critical thinking skills: Ability to utilize common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral or diagrammed instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several known variables in situations of a routine nature.
Software skills required: Advanced: 10-Key, Alphanumeric Data Entry, Word Processing/Typing Intermediate: Spreadsheet Basic: Accounting, Contact Management, Database
Working conditions: Periodically exposed to such elements as noise, intermittent standing, walking, pushing, carrying, or lifting; but none are present to the extent of being disagreeable.
