Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Substation Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical engineering and a proven track record in managing the design and development of electrical substations. The primary responsibility of the Electrical Substation Design Engineer will be to oversee all aspects of substation design projects, ensuring they meet industry standards, client requirements, and are completed within budget and on schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers and designers in the design and development of electrical substations.
  • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for substation design projects.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations in all substation designs.
  • Review and approve design drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Conduct technical reviews and provide guidance to engineering teams during the design process.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with substation design projects.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure project goals are achieved.
  • Collaborate with procurement and construction teams to support the procurement and construction phases of substation projects.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to resolve design-related issues during construction and commissioning phases.
  • Stay current with advancements in substation design technologies, methodologies, and industry trends.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on substation design.
  • Strong understanding of electrical substations, including design principles, equipment, and Protection and Control systems.
  • Proficiency in engineering software tools such as AutoCAD, PrimTECH, ETAP, and PLS-CADD.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and practices related to substation design and construction
