Position Summary TheSanitation Technicianis responsible for ensuring the facility, equipment, and production areas are properly cleaned and sanitized to meet food safety and regulatory standards. This position supports the companys commitment to producing safe, high-quality products by maintaining a sanitary work environment throughout the plant. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Report to assigned workstation; ensure all necessary tools, equipment, supplies, and materials are available in staging areas. Disassemble and clean floors, walls, production equipment, towers, conveyors, pipelines, and other machinery; remove guards as required prior to general operations start-up. Clean production facility, including floors and trash removal, in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. Handle sanitation chemicals in compliance with Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) requirements. Make suggestions regarding improved techniques for maintaining plant cleanliness and sanitation efficiency. Perform other sanitation-related duties as required. Qualifications Previous sanitation or janitorial experience in a food manufacturing or industrial environment preferred. Ability to follow detailed instructions, procedures, and safety requirements. Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, sanitation processes, and equipment disassembly preferred. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in wet or cold environments. Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Rizo Lopez Foods is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
