Job description
The Packaging Associate supports production operations for the Tio Francisco Cheese brand, a product line of Francisco Foods, LLC, by performing packaging, labeling, and product handling tasks to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency standards are met. This role is responsible for preparing finished goods for distribution while maintaining compliance with food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Package finished products according to Company specifications and production standards.Label, date-code, and inspect products to ensure accuracy and compliance with quality standards.Perform visual quality checks to identify defects or inconsistencies in product or packaging.Assemble packaging materials (boxes, cartons, labels) as needed.Maintain proper product handling to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.Follow production schedules and meet established productivity and efficiency targets.Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with sanitation standards.Operate basic packaging equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.Report equipment malfunctions, product issues, or safety concerns to supervisors promptly. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to follow instructions and adhere to standardized procedures.Strong attention to detail and quality awareness.Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction) for packaging and labeling accuracy.Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.Ability to work in varying temperature environments, including refrigerated areas.Basic communication skills; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Education & Experience High school diploma or GED.Prior experience in food production, packaging, or manufacturing environment. Work Schedule Schedules are assigned by management and may vary based on production needs, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or overtime as required.
